These substances affect increasing the stress levels as opposed to the belief of reducing the stress levels. Despite alcohol being a depressant when consumed in large quantities, it is not an effective way of managing the stress. Getting enough sleep is one of the methods of managing stress. This is because lack of sleep has been identified as a cause of stress. There are also some relaxation techniques that one might try to help them reduce stress. Majority of these relaxation techniques have been tried and tested.

Physical exercise is another method of managing stress. Stress is accompanied by the increase in the levels of stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline. Exercise can therefore boost the production of these hormones. Iit is not, however, necessary that the exercise be vigorous. Brisk walking in fresh air can be very helpful. Working out on a daily basis is even a much better remedy.

There are certain ways on how exercise help in stress management. One of the direct stress-busting effects of exercise is that it pumps up your endorphins. The endorphins are known as brain’s feel-good transmitters. Exercises help a person to forget about someone’s day irritations. Exercise is also effective in improving the mood of a person. Improving the moods of a person is as a result of increased confidence, and lowering symptoms of depression.
