Recovery Alive launches mental health coaching, consulting
SMITHFIELD — Recovery Alive Inc., the Christ-centered recovery program based in Smithfield, has launched a new service: Recovery Alive Coaching & Consulting.
“At its core, it’s a safe place for people to receive faith-based, nonclinical mental health support through certified mental health coaching,” said Tisha Temple, CEO of Recovery Alive. “Our coaches walk alongside individuals and families who are navigating life’s challenges, from emotional pain to relational strain, with the goal of offering hope, healing and spiritual growth.”
The coaching center is the latest extension of Recovery Alive, which is known for its work in churches, treatment programs and transitional housing.
“Recovery Alive Inc. is a national nonprofit committed to bringing hope to the hopeless through Christ-centered recovery,” Temple said. “Coaching & Consulting is a vital part of our mission. It’s how we’re reaching even more people in our community with one-on-one care and practical, faith-forward tools.”
Recovery Alive Coaching & Consulting offers mental health coaching for:
• Adults.
• Teenagers.
• Veterans.
• Couples.
• Individuals dealing with grief, trauma, anxiety, addiction recovery or emotional overwhelm.
Sessions focus on emotional support, spiritual growth and personal development. At $65 per session, they are designed to be both affordable and accessible, Temple said.
“Anyone can book a session directly through our website at recoveryalive.com/mentalhealth,” she said. “No referral is needed. We aim to remove as many barriers as possible. Coaching is confidential, affordable … and designed to meet people where they are.”
Temple emphasized that mental health coaching is not clinical therapy. “Mental health coaching is highly ethical, deeply personal and rooted in both compassion and best practices for goal-setting and emotional support,” she said.
Certified coaches
The service’s mental health coaches are certified through the American Association of Christian Counselors and trained via Light University. Team members bring experience in ministry, education, peer support, trauma recovery and mental health advocacy.
The current team includes Debra Dean, Karen Reese, Jacob Rouse and Casey Temple, individual coaching for adults; Ashley Fordyce, individual coaching for women and teenagers; and Andrew Jones, individual and couples’ coaching.
“Every coach shares a passion for helping others discover their God-given worth and purpose, even in the midst of life’s hardest seasons,” Temple said.
Consulting
In addition to individual coaching, the new service also offers consulting services.
“Recovery Alive Consulting works directly with churches, nonprofits and community leaders to offer strategic support in building and strengthening Christ-centered recovery ministries,” Temple said. “Through customized consulting, we help develop systems of care, train leadership teams and guide organizations in launching or expanding recovery-focused efforts that are sustainable, culturally responsive and rooted in hope.”
With the new coaching and consulting center now open, Temple said Recovery Alive is better positioned to serve Johnston County and beyond. “We truly believe that the addition of Coaching & Consulting is going to allow us to serve even more individuals … with practical, Christ-centered care,” she said.
Recovery Alive Coaching & Consulting is located at 218 Peedin Road in Smithfield.
